Crockpot Spaghetti
Ingredients for the meatballs:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- ¼ cup crumbled bread slices
- 1/4 cup parmesan
- 1/4 cup parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt to taste
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper
For the sauce:
- 2 cans of crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- ½ chopped onion
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- black pepper
- red pepper flakes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ¾ lb. spaghetti
Directions:
Mix ground beef, crumbled bread, parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, whisked egg, salt, and red pepper flakes in one big bowl. Make small meatballs and arrange them in the bottom of the pot.
For the sauce, mix tomatoes and the tomato paste in a bowl. Add chopped onion, oregano, and garlic. Mix all the ingredients well. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper to the mix.
Pour the prepared sauce over meatballs. Now, cook in low flame for 6 hours and in the last hour add the chicken broth and spaghetti to the crockpot.
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove it from flame and serve it hot. You can garnish it with parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
Lasagna Rolls
Ingredients:
- ½ box lasagna
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ large onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- salt to taste
- black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper
- 10 oz. spinach
- 1 tsp lemon
- 2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1cup. Parmesan
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cup mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Boil lasagna in a large pot, add salt and cook. Drain the lasagna and keep it aside.
Heat a wok and pour some oil in it. Add onion and garlic with some salt, pepper and red pepper flakes in the wok. Cook until the onions are soft. Add spinach once the onions are cooked. Add the lemon zest and set aside. Mix the ricotta cheese, whisked egg,
Take a plate and spread the lasagna sheet. Apply the marinara sauce on the base of the sheet. Add the stuffing on one side of the sheet. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the stuffing and start rolling the sheet inwards.
Take a baking dish and spread a layer of marinara sauce. Put the lasagna rolls and top it with cheese. Put the tray in the oven and bake for about 20 min. Your Lasagna rolls are ready to serve. Garnish with parsley before serving.
