Easy Lasagna Recipe


Lasagna is an Italian dish baked with vegetables and meat. It is the oldest type of pasta. Lasagna is full of flavors. For all those who think baking lasagna at home is tough, it is actually not. Here is an easy lasagna recipe.

Three Basic Steps To Make Lasagna

  • First, you have to make the meat sauce.
  • Second, you have to make the Béchamel sauce
  • Third, you have to layer the Lasagna.

Meat Sauce


  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 5 to 7 garlic cloves, chopped 
  • 2-3 tbsp.olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. dried Basil
  • 2 tbsp. dried oregano
  • Crushed black pepper
  • 400 mg tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1200 mg ground meat


Take a pan and add the finely chopped onions and chopped garlic.  Toss them for a few minutes. Then, add olive oil. Let the onions turn brown. Add the ground meat and mix until it is caramelized. Add salt, chili powder, dried Basil seeds, dried oregano, and black pepper. Now, mix them all together and add the chopped tomatoes and the water. Bring it to boil and lower the flame. Cover with the lid and let it slowly simmer for 2 hours.

We need a thin meat sauce for this recipe. If the sauce is too thin, add broth.

Béchamel Sauce:


  • Butter 70 grams 
  • All-purpose flour 4 tbsp
  • Warm milk 800 ml
  • Salt one tsp
  • Nutmeg 1/4 tsp


Add butter to the pan and let it melt properly. Then, add the all-purpose flour and mix it well. Add the warm milk slowly and keep steering the sauce continuously until it thickens. When you see the sauce is thick enough, add salt and nutmeg. The Bechamel sauce is ready.

Layering The Lasagna


  • 24 lasagna sheets
  • 700 mg of mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped fresh Basil
  • 3 tbsp olive oil


First, add chopped tomatoes. Then pour 3 tbsp. of olive oil over the tomatoes. The tomatoes and oil mixture at the bottom will keep the Lasagna moisture and will prevent the Lasagna from sticking in the pan. Now, take 6 lasagna sheets and place it on the tomato mixture. Make a layer of the meat sauce. Garnish the meat sauce with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. Take a big spoon of béchamel sauce and make a layer. On top of this layer, add a thick layer of Mozzarella cheese.

Now, make the second, third, and fourth layer of lasagna exactly as the first. Add some extra cheese on the final layer. Cover the dish with foil.

Preheat the oven at 375°F and keep the lasagna in the oven for 60 min. Take it out of the oven and garnish it with chopped basils and cheese. Your lasagna is ready to serve.
