Caramel Cake

Ingredients

For The Cake

  • Flour – 225 mg
  • Butter – 225mg, salted and softened (some extra needed for coating the baking pan)
  • Eggs – 4
  • Brown sugar – 100 mg
  • Caster sugar – 125 mg
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • Milk – 1 tbsp
  • Pieces of Caramel, toffee, or chocolate – for garnishing

For The Icing

  • Caramel sauce – 80 mg
  • Salted butter – 200 mg, softened
  • Icing sugar – 400 mg

Directions

  • Take two springform pans of 20 cm each and coat the base with butter. Now cover the pans with baking paper and keep aside.
  • Preheat the oven at 160-degree centigrade.
  • Now, in a large bowl, beat the butter and both caster and brown sugar until they become foamy. Add the vanilla extract, 1 egg at a time and a spoonful of flour and keep mixing. When you are done with the addition of all the eggs and flour, pour the milk and mix again.
  • Next, pour this batter into the baking pans and insert them into the oven. The cakes will be ready within half an hour. However, do not forget to check them by inserting a toothpick. If the toothpick is clean, your cake is ready.
  • Take them out and let them cool. While the cake is cooling, start making the icing.
  • For that, you need to beat the icing sugar and butter until they become light. Add the caramel sauce and mix again.
  • Apply some of the icings over a cake and put another cake over it. Now, cover the whole cake with the icing. When done, pour the remaining caramel sauce over it and let it flow from the sides. Sprinkle the caramel, chocolate pieces, or toffees over the cake. You can mix the pieces of chocolate, caramel, and toffees and spread them over the cake.

Easy Coffee Cake

Preparation time – 20 minutes

Cooking time – 30 minutes

Ingredients

For The Cake

  • Flour – 250 mg
  • Butter – 200 mg
  • Eggs – 2
  • Golden caster sugar – 200 mg
  • Baking powder – a pinch
  • Muscovado sugar – 200 mg
  • Instant coffee – 4 tbsp
  • Sour cream – 125 mg
  • Water – 250 ml

For The Butter Cream

  • Butter – 125 mg
  • Icing sugar – 250 mg
  • Instant coffee – 1 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder – for garnishing

Directions

  • Preheat the oven at 180-degree centigrade.
  • In a bowl, add the water, butter, and sugar and put it on medium flame. When, the butter melts, switch off the flame. Mix the eggs, flour, coffee, sour cream and baking powder with the melted butter.
  • Pour this cake batter into a baking pan covered with baking paper and insert it in the oven. Bake for about half an hour.
  • Now make the icing by beating the coffee, icing sugar and butter. Coat the cooled cake with the icing and top it with cocoa powder.
